06 S60 2.5T AWD - Driver's side window problem

Post by scot850 »

I was looking over my buddies son's S60 planning a repair strategy and he mention there is an issue with the driver's side door glass 'bouncing' at the top and then re-opening.

I could not find anything covering this exact issue other than someone with a 're-calibration' of the window limits:

viewtopic.php?p=489381&hilit=Door+window+issue#p489381

Has anyone come up against this issue and found a fix for it or is it a limit issue?

He says if he holds the button it will close and stay closed.

Thanks,

Neil.

It needs calibrating.
Lots of youtube videos on that.

At this age, replace the plastic sliding blocks (2 per front door).
And start from there.

Thanks guys.

Hopefully it is just calibrating. That was what jumped to mind when I saw the issue but appreciate you confirming that is the likely issue. I know the slider blocks you mention cn90, we can check that to. Window does seem to move nice and easily with no binding, it is just when it hits the top where it should stop it bounces and retracts like a garage door if it has something in the way.

I'll look at the Youtube for videos.
