My 94 940 turbo wagon (automatic) has 171,000 miles and is idling oddly. When I start the car and it is cold (MN) the engine idles then dies. I then restart it and give it gas and begin my drive to work and at stops it will begin to idle low then high then low then high working itself in this loping fashion then it dies. I restart and continue on, putting the car in nuetral at stops and giving it gas. About 7-10 minutes into the commute the problem goes away. Please help...
Thanks

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
There are several possibilities for bad idling. I suggest that you read the fault codes and post the results so we can help you further.
If you don't know how to read the fault codes check:https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/chat/p ... 08&start=0. Go to page 2 and scroll down.
This is headed 740 but applies to the 940.
Bill.
