2011 C30 T5 shudders under load at high speed, check engine light on

Have a 2011 C30 T5 with just over 120K, has always run fine, but noticed check engine light on a couple of weeks ago. Only run issue seems to be that it starts from a stop fine, goes up through the gears fine, but once you are rolling along 50-60mph and give it some gas to go up a hill or pass, you feel this shudder. If you let off the gas it goes away, but if you get back on the gas, you get it again. There doesn't seem to be much of a loss of power, and you feel the shutter in the pedal, mostly. Otherwise, it seems to go fine. The check engine light suggests engine and not transmission or engine mount or something like like that, but not sure. Ideas? Thanks!

How old are you spark plugs? Worn plugs could cause an engine shudder...

Have you checked the condition of your axles? Shudder under load is often a sign of a worn axle. I drove my C30 with a torn CV boot for over two years and figured I would start to hear that familiar clicking sound when I turn when it was really time to change it. But I never did. What I did experience was the shudder when accelerating - but only once I was up to speed, past 45 mph or so.
