96 850 10V Base model Diagnostic software?

96 850 10V Base model Diagnostic software?

I just realised I don't have any way of electronically diagnosing this car. Too late for the under hood diagnostic box and as it is a 10V it has Siemans ECU. Are there any softwares out there that work on this car like Vol-Fcr or any of the ELM apps?

As far as i know....ecu on 10v cars is not OBDII.
They produce flash codes and you will need to make your own flash code reader.

Many thanks Misha. The more I look at the 10V, the more I am going off the idea as it seems to be harder to find parts for and stuff like this is just extra hassle. I also think although I told my brother this is a 10V I think he thinks it is the same engine as his daughters 97 850 base. That has the 20V motor and he thinks that is under powered! Then he plans to move to Colorado which is at 5000 ft in elevation...........! Maybe this is not the car he needs as I believe the 10V was not sold in the US it will make parts harder to find.

10v cars were not imported to U.S.

10v have around 140hp...it isn't a rocket but it isn't underpowered neither.

From 0-100km/h there is around 2 seconds difference.
So 20v is just around 2 sec faster than 10v in that range.

Yes at sea level. At 5000ft on mountain roads that becomes a lot more. I would believe the 10V has better low down torque similar to the difference between an LPT and HPT turbo. The LPT is quicker off the line but runs out of power higher up. The HPT is slow off the line but faster higher up. Although not sure if that stands in the non-turbo engines too.
