Frustrating Remote won’t unlock- ONLY lock!

Your Remote won’t unlock?

I don’t think it’s the remotes. If you get a response and see things in the car move, the remotes work. What happens when you use the built-in Lock/Unlock button in the car or drivers door key? Does it unlock then? If you get the same result using the controls in the car, you probably have a bad Lock/Unlock relay.

Had same issue with front door lock and several of the interior lights not working correctly. Turned out to be the double wide relay 302(i think) had come loose from its socket. Wiring diagrams helped to understand common point. Its located at left upper inside of dash(right above left foot rest). Several of the relays felt loose. I disconnected battery and reseated the relays. All inside courtesy lights , remote fob and front door lock all began working after reseating.

I have a 1998 V70R with similar issues. The remote will unlock the two back doors and the rear door, as well as lock all of the doors. Placing the key in the drivers door to unlock will unlock all but the front passenger door. The controls in the car work the same as the drivers door, full functionality except unlocking the front passenger door. Any ideas where to start?
