What Our Volvo Forum Users Are Saying…
My plan for now I guess will just be to see if it improves with the tranny drain and fills. It’s not a huge deal, this is just my first 99+ Volvo so I thought maybe it was a clear ETM issue.
Thanks again for the input so I didn’t blow a load of cash on an ETM that probably hasn’t failed yet.
Great website. My wife is too cheap to go to dealer after we tried entering the wrong radio code. Finally got tired of her whining about not having her radio so I started poking around on your site to figure out how to pull the radio and get serial number. Guess what ? Did not even have to call the dealer as the former owner printed the code on top of radio. Nice. Five minutes on your site, then five minutes to pull radio and re-enter code as it was printed on top by former owner. No more unhappy wife!!! Totally worth the ten bucks !!

Thanks for the great site – Last week I picked up a 96 850 turbo sedan. Today I did an oil change, and more importantly, a trans. flush per the how-to on your site. Now the huge shifting lurch is all but gone.. Thanks for the great resource.

I took some of the information from this forum and the info and link from the post by dcarlson12 and contacted the Volvo customer care line as another poster recommended and made sent an e-mail to the customer care center, called the customer care center and then spoke with then called and left a message with the dealer service manager.
After lunch the dealer service manger called me back and said Volvo would cover the cost of the transmission if I would pay the labor and misc. parts. Bottom line this forum saved me the $2,700.
