…And Even A ’96 Non-Turbo
- Vacuum Lines on Turbo 1993-2000 850/S70/V70/XC70
MVS Forums Contributor and enthusiast CN90 turns the volume up to maximum and cranks out a beautiful post about a particular Pre-2001 850/S70/V70/XC70 failure point: vacuum lines. [Looking for non-turbo vacuum line routing?] I just want to dedicate a thread strictly to photographing the vacuum lines in these aging Volvos. As the car gets older, vacuum hoses break and people are always asking for diagram. The problem with underhood sticker is that: it looks good on paper but it has its limitation, i.e., no real photos. I just spent 1h photographing different vacuum lines of my 1998 Volvo S70 GLT. If you have other photos, please annotate them with arrows/caption etc. and post them (especially those with blue silicone hoses lol…). Vacuum Hoses on 1993-2000 850/S70/V70/XC70 Turbos
- PTC Nipple Vacuum Line Routings
My real question is about the smaller hose running off ptc nipple, the one across from electrical connection. On mine the hose ran about 10 inches to about under distributor and was just broken off and not connected to anything, I cant find where it would connect to anything. Small hose on PTC nipple, where does it go?
- Vacuum line clamps
Vacuum hose clamps - is the Type Important? Screw clamps, pinch clamps, or some other? Or do I need them at all? Will the hose just stay on? Vacuum line clamps
