Last Call for 2001+ Volvo Problems V70, XC70, S60 etc.

Got Volvo Problems?

We’re making the Mother of all Polls in regards to failed parts with the P2 family of Volvos, with the exception of the S80. (I’ll dedicate a poll for that model in the Volvo S80 forum soon). In it you’ll be able to vote on what went wrong with yours, then obviously we can take that data and see which failures are common and which are uncommon.

So if you have a 2001+ V70, V70 R, XC70, S60 or S60 R, please register for the Volvo Forums and add your Volvo’s failure(s) to this list. Volvo Problems

Bonus! Volvo Facts!

Volvo takes innovation seriously

  • Think of a feature that is now taken for granted on the modern automobile and the chances are that Volvo had a hand in developing it. The three-point seat belt was invented by Volvo engineer Nils Bohlin in 1959, though Volvo didn’t patent it as it believes that safety is for everyone.

The company also pioneered the Lambda Sensor catalytic converter in 1976, underscoring its environmental credentials. It introduced the Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) in the 1990s and has since launched a number of collision-prevention devices, such as City Safety, which monitors other road users and brings the car to a halt if an impact looks likely.

Good day, I have a volvo S60 2009, the right tail and parking light not working even after changing the bulb what could be wrong

I have a 2001 XC70. Here are my issues:

ABS service required light on and off (seems to cause the Cruise control to cut out). No issues can be found.
No power to Map lights or sunroof controls, but lights work when door is open. Work one day, not the next.
Won’t start like the battery is dead (starter clicking) one minute, fine the next. Battery was tested and is fine.
Mirror/Seat memory. Works one day then the seats won’t work but the mirrors do.
Check engine code 0455, replaced everything, wont go away
Engine code 1550, Signal Speed, this one is new.
A/C compressor cycling every few seconds (3 seconds on 10 seconds off). Pressures re good and there is refrigerant.

I am thinking this is a voltage issue, but not sure where or how to find it.

I just get my S60 2002 model.. now the millage is 78000km. What servive did I need.. how about timing belt?
