| Well, I used to be a strong supporter of Volvo until my 1996 850 GLT water pump froze. That in itself isnt so bad, but the timing belt is connected to the water pump. So when the timing belt shredded my engine seized. The result, a complete engine re-build. I was 300 miles from home and had to tow the car back to the dealership. Volvo has done nothing to assist despite assurances from the dealership they would "go to bat for me". Incidentally the car has 48,000 miles and serviced as required, in fact I change the oil every 3000 miles. I will never again recommend a Volvo to anyone. |
