| I purchased a 1995 volvo 850 new. It has been nothing but a LEMON. I had to have the battery repalced twice before they changed the alternator. The next thing was a burnt exhaust valve. In the shop for 2 weeks. The sunroof started leaking next. Lost the driver's side windshield wiper during a rainstorm. Battery died again and had to be replaced. When the warranty ran out the shift lever wouldn't shift out of park and when it did the indicator didn't move. I have left this car in the garage most of the time and drive my 1999 Toyota Camry. Right now the odometer is broken and it is going to cost me $300-$350 to get it repaired. I have 53063 miles on it and it has been nothing but trouble. I have written to Volvo 3 times complaining about it and they don't do nothing. They said that if I had more trouble with the engine because of the burnt valve they would maybe help me repair it. It has been in for every maintenance schedule. Toyoto Camry is a lot better auto. Even a Model T ford would be better than this. |
