I have recently purchased 1996 850 turbo.Today for the first time (while driving) I happened to roll down the rear window ,( diagonally opposite to driver's seat) And to my surprise.... I started hearing some heavy rumbling sound (like the silencer is gone or something.....)which only became more heavy as I accelerated. When I took off the foot from the accelerator the sound went down. when stopped the car, opened the hood and started engine this sound was not heard.. (because maybe it is at the back... near the exhaust... may be the cat convertor... or the muffler or something else.. ...??????????).
Will you pleaase help... also I would like to know , how urgently this problem should be resolved or can I defer for a while without harming anything... also, if possible, the budget/amount involved...
