Jim, I'm honestly at that "brick wall". I'm totally terrified to drive this car, because I never know when it will shut down on me. I keep getting these premonitions of semi-trucks smashing into my stalled vehicle. UGHH Sometimes it is in the middle of a busy intersection. As far as the dash lights go, when the car shuts down, ALL the dash lights come on. I have tried numerous local mechanics, but they will all just shrug their shoulders and say that they don't have the neccesary Volvo equiptment to do any diagnostic work on the car. The creepy thing about this problem, is that the car will power-off while I'm going 60 mph or 15 mph. Makes no difference. Then it will start right back up and when I get it to the dealership, they can find nothing wrong with it. I can't begin to tell you the crying that i have done in the past week, over this problem. I would not sell this car to a private party, because my conscience would not allow me to pawn a potentially dangerous vehicle off on anyone. I don't want to trade it in on another car, because I just bought a house and payments are not in my budget. Heck.....I shouldn't have to get rid of a Volvo with 58,000 miles on it, that is perfect in every other aspect. It seems to me from the start that this was a fuel problem, but the service manager has continually nixxed that idea. Sometime the car WILL stumble before it does come to a complete stop. I'm thinking that gunk is clogging the fuel pump or injectors. How about loadin' up your tools, your Chilton and your mechanic friends, and taking a trip to Central California, for a looksee. I will feed you guys like kings while you are here! Can you tell....I'm DELIRIOUS???!!! Heck....I will try ANYTHING at this point!
