| To capsulize; I have gone thru 3 years of living hell with my 95 960. It currently has 58,000 miles on it. I have been scared to death to drive this car ANYWHERE....for fear of it shutting down in an intersection or traffic. The car continually loses all power with no advance warning. Last week, I shut down in the center lane on a freeway at 5:00pm. Two cars careened into an imbankment. I'm "smelling" a potential lawsuit! I have spent close to 2000.00 at the local dealership...to no avail, over 3 years, in an attempt to correct whatever is causing the car engine to shut down and evertything freeze up on me. In the past year, I have had this car towed twice to the dealership, after it began continually shutting down on me. They have replaced a "t- stat"thermostat..TWICE..... a coolant sensor....... Most recently, at 57,300 miles (one month ago) after having the ECM computer "brain" replaced at a cost of 1200.00 the car is still shutting down on me. Same symptoms that I have experienced for 3 years! The service manager NOW says that they "think" it may be the fuel pump. I'm just waiting for them to call me with a quote for a repair. They are going to be in for a surprise, cuz I am not paying it. THEY ARE!!!!! Each time that I have receieved the car back from the dealership, they have said that "the problem is fixed". Am I wrong in NOW saying that the "money pit" is no longer paying for the so-called sure-fix. Do you believe that I have the right to now tell them that after 3 years and close to 2000.00 dollars, that they should spring for their latest revelation, that it is the fuel pump? Please email me with any and all advice. [email protected] |
