We were astonished when the transmission died on this five year old car. Mechanic thought it might have been a sensor gone bad and took the transmission with it. Brought it in one month earlier when there was some hesitancy in the low speeds on an intermittent basis but problem didn't show during test drive. Problem severe just four weeks later. Any thoughts on why and how the transmission could give out so quickly? It's costing us $2500 to repair in addition to $800 for an ABS problem (and numerous other difficulties).
