There are 2 check valves (if you have the ACC) One goes to the temp sensor in the car (to make sure air is drawn over it) and the second supplies vaccum to the bellows that control the flappers in the ducts. The valves are right on top of the intake manifold, with 1/2 inch hose on one end, and 3/16 (about) hose on the other. The valves themsevles are about as big around as a quarter, and 1/2in long, (plus the barbed part that goes into the hoses) 1/2 black and 1/2 white. Pull one off and blow into both ends. You should be able to 1 way, but not the other, if they're functioning properly.
