Squeaking brakes means most likely nothing more than aftermarket pads. The interior panel of the 850 Wagon (mine is a 1995) is poorly constructed. The plastic can't withstand the stress of multiple closures. I've secured the interior panel on mine with screws instead of relying on the plastic retainers. New plastic retainers are inexpensive but available only from the dealer. The cargo door has pistons that wear with age and will eventually not keep the door open, at least in cold weather. often as they age, they will stay open in hot weather, but you have to hold onto it in cold. Our '95 Turbo has 150k and is still a splendid car; the rear gate is my primary complaint.
