I can't address your routine daily specific driving scenario. But I will say this: when you drive your Volvo, make sure the trip is at least 10 minutes so the engine gets to normal operating temp.

This prevents unburned fuel from destroying your catalytic converter. The high temperatures of a normal operating temperature engine burn off unburned fuel that remains in the exhaust system/cat. converter.

If it's a Turbo, before you turn it off, let it idle for 20 seconds so that the turbo is well lubricated with oil (it says to do that in my 850 manual).

Anything more or less than these precautions, do at your own risk/waste of time.
