Re: '96 850 T5 (B5234T, M56H): Crank, no start

I'm still not entirely trusting of either that fuel pump relay or the CPM. Yes, failure of electronic ...

Re: '96 850 T5 (B5234T, M56H): Crank, no start
You need the CPS at all times. If it is faulty or engine loses signal engine will shut down. I had an issue with a CPS n a 93 850 GLT and the engine would randomly just lose power for a few seconds or just die. If it died, I'd have to wait a while and then it would start right up. Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
You shouldn’t be allowed to own tools with such a basic mistake. At least I can show some expert E83 work so that you can know your place. You are welcome.

Re: Main Fuse Box - Mass of wires?
The connectors for front wheel speed sensors had resistance on some 850s and the fix was to solder and heat shrink. That is the repair shown. If you go find the wires on right and left headed to the wheel area you'll find the brown and black sets there.

Re: Boring out turbo manifold for n.a. throttle body
Thought I'd update, even though there doesn't appear to be much interest ( maybe should have been posted elsewhere ). Throttle response is greatly improved, particularly from a dead stop. One of the only complaints I've had with this car is its sluggishness off the line, but not anymore. And as a bo...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
This is becoming a regular thing... IMG_6760.JPG Believe it or not, this is the first time the engine is out of this car. Thanks, certainly seems plausible. Pulled apart the knackered caliper today, both pots are completely clean and free of rust/lips. One side of the caliper was sticking due to the...
