If I am reading this right it looks like I can swap my VGLA unit on top of dash from Shagg into the Kat and have a working remote? :D :D Still wondering about this. The real deep understanding would be to know where vida is actually writing key information Lock control module 2-76? VGLA unit? CDM? ...

Re: B5244T tuning capability
The standard Volvo/Pierburg is TCV is only stable to about 12 psi boost and gets flaky above there. So if you are running that you should be fine. The 00 R came with the standard TCV and a claimed 261 bhp. When I bought the car it had the Rica tune and a supposed 312 bhp and around 300 ft/lb of tor...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Both door marker lights in my V70 I were broken (well, one was missing entirely), so I bought two new used ones (very inexpensively) which are not broken.. However today I found out that they are in fact broken as well, the clip is broken off on one and cracked on the other one... PXL_20240407_14561...

Re: Parts brands - OE Volvo, trusted aftermarket, and bad
Rubber is a place where the cost cutting comes back to boil you over. Volvo rubber seems to last 20 years plus and those turbo hoses are getting baked Even Volvo brand hoses must be suspect these days, to the point where quality aftermarket like do88 may be better. I bought Volvo brand coolant hose...

3D Printed Tape Player Repair
Thought you guys might enjoy my tape player repair. The entire time I’ve owned the car, when you would insert a tape, it would just continually try to flip the tape without being able to play it. After a tear down, I realized the band was snapped, and two gears broken, one new band and 2 printed gea...

850 steering rack teardown and rebuild
So, I've been chasing around a rattle in my 850's passenger front corner and a few months back, after going through EVERYTHING on the front of the car, I narrowed the noise down to the rack itself. Specifically, it sounds like the rack is a little loose in the housing plug (The big white plastic pie...

21/21.5mm Front Sway Bars available again (9173983 9173471)
Hello everyone, my V70 I had deteriorated sway bar bushings and since you're supposed to change the whole sway bar in that case, this was an issue, as the sway bar is NLA from Volvo and there are no third party suppliers. Therefore I worked with Skandix to have new ones made by a reputable suspensio...
