Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I picked up a couple of iAC valves from the junkyard as I don't have any spares and as I tend to help folk with older Volvos it made sense to me??! Anyway, brought them home, disassembled all the pipes off and then cleaned them using brake cleaner. I checked them before and after cleaning. On...

Re: 99' S70, 5-speed, Immobilizer Problem. End of the road for Matilda?

Hello Xan,

Thanks for the update, although this language is way over my head

Hey, don't you want to come to New England for a little vacation? And, oh, while you are here would you not mind to see what's wrong with Matilda? :D :D

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I think he may mean does the flap lock. It should lock as you can only release it from the door release switch. The actuator should lock it again when you close the fuel flap.

Now I have to go check. Darn......!

So based on this, if the car is locked, the fuel flap cannot be opened if the door is locked. The flap does open when the engine...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

That's what the guy at the machine shop must have done, I brought him a pack of 24 stem seals and 4 protector caps and got back 3 seals and 3 caps for a 20 valve engine. I wonder which ones taste better. I hope everyone in the Northern Hemisphere has their A/C in working order. A cool car on 78F day...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Yesterday and today, my city street department laid new asphalt on my dead end street. This is a good thing since I think the original base was laid in 1980's and had a few pot holes filled since then. Bad thing is I had to drive Volvo through the emulsion they sprayed on the old surface. A couple t...
