Need to see where the grease is coming from. If boot is still good it may be coming from loose clamps, you may be able to tighten a little.

Control arms/boots/CV axles are all not complicated. There's nothing to mess up, no tricky gotchas. Just go slow and ask questions here as you go. Post photos of items you have particular questions on.

Outer CV needs a different type of grease. Inner one (tripod) can use the grease from the GKN rebuild kit, however don't use it in outer joint. You can slack the clamp, inject grease with a syringe, rotate the clamp at needed angle and re-tighten it. However they tend to stretch over time and need to be replaced. Have both my 2 and 3 y.o. Volvo and GKN axles spitting small amounts of grease, the clamps are fully tightened, can't do more.

Just careful not to let the spindle hung free and pull on the CV joint - the outer CV joint may dismantle inside and be tricky to be put back in place

I ground the nut off the link when Mine got stuck. It was ugly
