Thanks for your detailed response.
I drain & filled my ATF last week and the car has been driving great.
In comparing old fluid with new, it was extremely dark. I think it was definitely overdue.
I will be performing these drain & fills every 30k as suggested.

Front sway bar end link? I had a loose fastener there and it made a loud click / pop at every bump.

Probably plasticcracking in the dash from broken mounts. Somewhat endemic to the P80 cars

Front damper mounts. Open bonnet, grab wing at the well, bounce up and down keeping your eyes on the damper mount. Check both sides.

Are damper mounts the struts shocks not sure Will the Haynes manual clearify? A Strut is a damper. You only have two on the car, they are on the front. Front Damper mount = Strut Mount.
