Re: Engine "Coughing" During Accleration?

You asked a few questions which have not been directly answered from abscates original request for info: Coil: This is mounted on the LH inner fender by the LH strut tower. It has a single cable that runs to the center of the distributor cap. The coil produces the spark that fire the spark plug and ...

Re: Cruise Control Intermittently working-- stumped

Very little for old vacuum hose replacement. 20 year old rubber hoses all pretty much need replacing.

Re: Cruise Control Intermittently working-- stumped

I looked this up recently, also, due to same symptoms in my 96 base 850. I haven't solved mine but I will explore one suggestion: the control module in the fuse box. Somebody confirm this, I think it's the one next to the headlight module. In that post I think someone suggested cleaning the contacts...

Re: Cruise Control Intermittently working-- stumped

I had a CC module lying around so I opened it up. Inside there is a relay with contacts. Clean these with sandpaper preferably 400 grit.

Re: Cruise Control Intermittently working-- stumped

Re: Windshield Washer Resorvoir

It’s a well made unit and if you pull it out you can probably fix any leak with JB weld.

Lisle does show 9190695 available by the way ( sorry , that’s 1998-, on edit)

I was wondering about this. I wish I had a lift to put my car up on, would make things easier. So your tanks are empty? ...

Re: New England Winter for a Desert Volvo?

They're well protected against rust from the factory so unless the desert has blown the original treatment away it should be fine.

Get proper winter tyres. Treat all rubber seals so they don't get stuck when it freezes. Check antifreeze and make sure you've got wiper fluid that won't freeze.
