Has Volvo ever published a replacement interval for these parts? I have an '08 coming apart to replace the valve cover gaskets and it has over 160K on it. Expected, otherwise they would need a tight seal around the spinning Axle, which in addition to spinning moves up and down. It is simpler to seal inside the transmission where they only need to deal with spin.

When I replaced the right axle on my C70 same thing, no fluid leakage.

If the propshaft spins by hand when the wheels are on the ground, then the either the sleeve is stripped or worse. Either way; that's going to be a job. You can buy the parts from Tasca or another dealer online and have your local dealer install; that would be covered by the warranty as far as I know? Maybe someone will confirm this?
