Re: Replace ABS Ring without Alignment?
I completed the job this weekend. I snapped one of the lower strut bolts, and realized that in the instructions you SHOULD use new bolts anyways. So if you're in Canada and, like me, there's no Volvo dealership for 300km: call up your local Carquest with P/N Y2001849336MTC for a $6 replacement bolt.

Re: A couple things members might know, that I don't.
The CEM/ECM didn't reprogram themselves to clear your error. You just had a drive cycle or three where it didn't show a fault. I, with my limited knowledge, believe your car is telling you that you have both an exhaust leak and an EVAP leak.

Re: Financial Distress Parts Program
I have a BOSCH Fuel Pressor Sensor P/N 0261230110 I'd be willing to part with for just the shipping fee for someone in need. I'm located in Canada and prefer to ship domestically.

Re: What is the small hose on the thermostat housing on '05 XC70?
Very possible and pretty common coolant leak on the turbo engine (non turbo doesn't have this hose on the thermostat housing). Worth looking at the coolant tank as well, underneath it as these may sometimes develop a small crack (disconnect the small sensor before lifting), at the small return hose...

Re: 2003 S60 2.4 non-turbo
I'm hoping this is an easy solution for you, but unfortunately I think you may have two separate unrelated issues. These vacuum pumps have a reputation of dying by an internal electrical short, which also causes the fuse to blow. I didn't even realize I was running a car without a vacuum pump for go...

Re: XC70 lumpy idle/lack of power/bad fuel economy nightmare.
I chased this issue on my car for all of 2021 (04 XC70) it ended up being a combination of three things: 1) Vacuum leaks (mostly at the OTE pipe connection to the turbo, one in the line between the charcoal canister and the purge valve) 2) Defective throttle body (Finally threw a code) 3) Defective ...

Re: suspension/alignment totally stumped
I have a bad rear shock absorber that is causing the car rear to really sway out when hitting bumps. Did you check those and/or the upper mounts for those in the trunk ? Funny literally same thing happened. Pre-emptive summer tire change over today because of a blowout a few weeks ago. I don't feel ...

Re: Is there a way to see the check engine codes without a scan tool?
No you can’t see the codes. But you can see on the information screen on your DIM which modules currently have a code set.
Hold “read” on your left stock (high beam stock maybe?) and hit the front foglamp switch twice then scroll through the module DTC status for each one.
