Re: 2006 XC70 A/C needs refrigerant
In the donor I bought for drivetrain and interior transplantation there was a hole in the condenser. Didn't have to evacuate anything, nothing left. Zero pressure. Just vacuum and fill. Need to evacuate as open to atmosphere means moisture and contaminants got in there which will kill a compressor....

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
The first gen Allroad? They were NOTORIOUS for lack of reliability, one of the worst. As well as the Toureg. The current gen Allroad seems to have overcome that reputation, totally new car, based on the A4 platform?...yes, A4. Both Allroads are great looking, and I lusted after them, but the more I ...

Re: Thinking about a P2 V70... experiences/what to look for?
Unfortunately the wagon is a dead/dying body type. Love living in a world where every single mfg has the exact same SUV.. boring. I looked at the Audi Allroad a couple months back but the carbon buildup requiring walnut blasting scared me away. Was on a kid's soccer game yesterday, looked around an...

Re: Is a used Volvo S60 a reliable car ?
I haven't heard about much problems with S60s of those years. I personally have 2 4cyl T6 xc60s in the family with around 60-70k. Haven't had much of issues with them. Regular maintenance thus far(and it is awd, supercharger, type r platinum versions). It is no Lexus in reliability, but if the car h...

Re: I will keep my car...now, suspension questions.
Sidetracking… is spring replacement on a NA 2.4 S60 a PITA? The rear shocks were a breeze and fall out through the bottom with little to no issue. I saw something about using the factory jack to assist- is this an XC only thing ? Need an internal spring compressor. I used this one, and it wanted to...
