This evenings findings: 1. We changed the gearbox 1,5 years ago and now when the pan is off the car I could easy feel the bolts between the flywheel and torque converter. They where all loose :roll: and now I'm hoping this could have been the rattle from my engine. 2. The rod bearings have all play ...

....and the results :) Problem fixed, and it was the lose bolts that holds the torque converter. So happy now because last week I had my mind set on a replacement engine.
