Re: Replace a S70 with a S60 2.5T
S60s are good cars, not much different than the P80s as far as maintenance goes. 2004 is about the oldest year S60 I would recommend, the earlier ones had a lot more issues with the transmissions, among other things. I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage, 182k isn't too high for these. However...

Re: Replace a S70 with a S60 2.5T
The P2 is generally a good car and when maintained last well. I have seen several for sale with over 500,000km up here. Has the advantage of the FWD chassis so no AWD system to service and maintain. Comments about similar to P80 cars is a good one. Issues to watch out for are: 1) Coil spring conditi...

Re: Replace a S70 with a S60 2.5T
Last thing I should add is that personally I do not find P2 seats particularly comfortable as they lack sufficient thigh support. We have a 2006 XC70 and I find the seats uncomfortable over longer distances, but then I am a large person!

Re: Tires
I like higher end Michelin - not the cheaper ones. Silent, seems resistant to punctures and the model I had was very good at aquaplaning, but not sure about their other models

Re: Tires
If you can get them i like the Michelin Primacy 3 or the replacement 4 which are Summer tires. The Primacy 3 is quiet, super grip in rain. Supposedly the Primacy 4 has the same stopping distance throughout its life and is the replacement for the 3. I couldn't get a set when I needed tires last so I ...

Re: Tires
I haven’t checked their online prices lately, but back in October - when the Walmart auto service centers were closed due to COVID-19 - I got a set of 235/45r17 Sumitomo HTR Enhance WX2 shipped to my house for only $73 each. I did have to pay another installer $15 each for mounting/balancing, but th...
