This has worked great for many repairs. Can use a piece of paper along the break and it makes for an even stronger repair.

Re: Dash Trim Noise
Much better than whole dash removal. Taking off the dash pad doesn’t help access the screws at all, just pull the glove box and radio. Tape the torx screws to the driver to start them in the new console. I think I skipped the bottom ones. I can post a clearer picture of the console out if that’s hel...

Re: Dash Trim Noise
I think you may find you have broken dash mounts. The 2 lower mounts (one either side) by the door trim also fail not just the 4 main ones. I would try the silicon spray with one of those plastic tube nozzles, but I think it will return. I still have to repair my dashboard mounts and keep putting it...

Re: Car sat for six years. What to check?
I had a too-old tire but with great tread depth disintegrate on me once on the highway. Don't risk it for a couple hundred bucks. I would definitely investigate any fuel smell/leak and carry a proper fire extinguisher in the meanwhile. Other than that not too much to worry about I would say. Clear a...

Unfortunate new Volvo owner! (98 V70 AWD)
Hello everyone, through a series of unfortunate circumstances, I am a new owner of a 200k+ mile '98 V70. Seems it was thoroughly (mechanically) abused before I got it, so I'm picking away at it. No rust or major body damage though! As bought: Power steering pump about to come apart, rotten tires and...
