Re: Complete car rewiring with module delete possible?

So it's the CAN-bus that allows VIDA to read/control/program everything in the car through DiCE? Is there a way to look at the raw data being transmitted to/from the car through either DiCE or VIDA? I'm assuming the data needs to be stored somewhere when connected to a laptop via DiCE in order for ...

Re: Under hood VIN plate location?

2001 V70 T5...same location as yours. The early year P2 V70's I see in the junkyard are also in this location...not sure about later years.

Re: What is the normal duty cycle for the fuel pump ?

VIDA says 35% +/- a bit for a new pump. By 65% they almost certainly die. My pump is at ~50%, the car has 265k on the odo.

Re: What is the normal duty cycle for the fuel pump ?

I don't seem to have that value listed in VIDA for my 01 S60... No PEM on 2001-2002 As for the engine stall, very scary. It happened on the highway and even once on the city highway with no way to pull safely. All stalls happened when the tank was low, in warm summer days, after having driven for 3...

Fair point!

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Put a very little amount of Vaseline on the seal and the ear where the ring slides into place on the sensor and it snapped right into place. * Son and I had trouble with the C30 Headlight Bulb Igniter going back on after bending some of the tabs. Used some silicone grease on the plastic contact sur...

Re: Financial Distress Parts Program

When you clock your wheels, is it important to you to clock all four or just each side? Only you will know if all four are clocked, remember. Don’t forget to clock the lug nuts and tire pressure caps too.

On a legal VIDA you can dig the CEM pin number out of the logs but not the pirated VIDA. The pirate VIDA does not connect to the Volvo PIE (Product Information Exchange) online database where the PINs are stored.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

I adjusted the latch catch plate for the rear hatch on my 2001 V70 T5. It had become hard to latch when it was cold. I think the wear on the latch and the hardening of the aging bumpers caused the problem. If this works, I have photos and will report on the process.
