Pretty low risk, if they would leak easy to replace. Carefully remove old ones so they have them as a backup.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Monday I got my S60 back up and running, and even drove it a little. Took it out for a longer drive on Tuesday. It's been sitting since September, and I had to charge the battery from a completely dead state. Thankfully the battery isn't very old and sprang back to life with the charger I used. The...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I wish one of us was closer to do your oil change for you and troubleshoot your warning. Hopefully you can keep putting some miles on to burn through the old gas. I appreciate that. I'm assuming the warning is just from the bad gas, but if I can get an extension cord plugged in, and drug out to the...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I changed the fuel filter less than 1,000 miles ago. Easy job to do, thankfully. 2001 is in the same place. That's what I was thinking, too. Run it down as low as I can, add a high level detergent fuel cleaner, fill it back up with the same 93 octane I normally use, that's ethanol free, and, if nee...

Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread
Keep it up, stick with the PT. I had a two motorcycle mishaps in the past two years resulting in ortho surgeries and staying the course with PT speeds the recovery process.

Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread
Same here on avoiding meds, I'm always surprised how freely they are offered. Hope PT goes well, it'll likely be a struggle at first but worth it in the long haul. Consider the short term pain an investment in future mobility.

Re: Engine Moves while switching Gears (video included)
Any significant engine movement likely indicates a bad motor mount. Three of the five aren't bad to replace on a P2 chassis. Some YouTube investigation should help you determine if you are up for it on yours.
Most noticeable movement would be drive to reverse and vice versa.

Re: psychedelic rear view mirror
@pgill, I wonder what the company in TX did for your rear view mirror that an average DIYer cannot do at home? If I get a manual mirror from local junk yard (about $15-$25), I can swap as mentioned? Wht functionality that you get to keep by using the TX company? pgill explained it well. All comes d...

Re: S60 Low Oil Pressure warning light
Success with the oil pan reseal. All the orings replaced were pretty hard. No bubbles now in the oil. With that and the oil pressure sensor (very easy to do if pan is off) I hope no further oil pressure issues. A note on this task for an 02 S60 2.4T. No steering lines to tie off like earlier models....

Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread
I feel like I can do anything I set my mind to, as long as I stick to it and work at it everyday. There was a long time where I never thought that would be possible with anything. My self esteem hasn't always been as high as it is now. This is the best thing I've seen today! Confidence and self est...
