Those small bulbs like the auto-shifter position light are a real pain to repair as they were originally 'welded' by their leads to the pins. I trimmed up this horrible melty damage from a past fender bender with some 14ga steel and stainless fasteners.
Pretty satisfying centering it around the new 4" tip.
