Understanding Camshaft Flank Angle - Enlightenment in Progress ECM 644A
I have been fighting this code for a week now, and found this reference (the most annoying ad laden website I have ever seen , by the way) on how cam flank angle works and is reported The ECM 644A Code is misleading - it has a "Cam overadvanced text' but in fact is reported for any flank angle ...

Re: Understanding Camshaft Flank Angle - Enlightenment in Progress ECM 644A
Quick update for those researching this in the future. I set crank to the TDC mark and used a front cam locking tool to lock the sprockets. Removed the timing belt. Carefully slid the front cam locking tool out to move each sprocket one tooth CCW and replaced the tool. placed the belt back and adjus...

Re: Oil leak upper passenger exhaust side
pull the belt cover and look at the cam seal behind the cvvt hub. if its still seated properly the vvt O ring might be worn. FCP sells the big green O ring (viton?). you'll need the rear cam lock tool to remove the center bolt holding the hub to the shaft. Disconnect battery first. set timing marks ...

Re: P0420 After VVT seals replacement
Since you own DiCE/VIDA, you can read VVT adaptation angles after revving the engine above 1500 RPMs (self-test happens there).
Bosch oxygen sensors in this car have lifetime of 150k km (km, not miles). If you haven't replaced them yet, they are long overdue.

Re: P0420 After VVT seals replacement
Under +/- 4 degrees is OK, under +/- 8 is tolerable, though with power loss. 8 or more is a chance for piston to smash into valves.
Myself tries to get it under 1 degree. Does not take too long if you know what you're doing.

Re: P0420 After VVT seals replacement
loosen the adjustment bolts and rotate the hub right? but which direction? 6.2 adaptation on Exhaust means I should rotate it 6.2 clockwise? and counterclockwise on Intake? or the other way around, 6 degrees CCW on exhaust, and 2.6 degree CW on Intake? I guess a torque wrench can be used to meansur...

Re: P0420 After VVT seals replacement
The OXS get old and slow after 100,000 miles. Visual doesn’t really tell you anything.

Re: 04 V70 2.5t driverside CV Shaft
That acceleration vibration at 50-60 is almost certainly an axle joint, why not put it together and go for a drive since you've changed the likely culprit already?

Re: 04 V70 2.5t driverside CV Shaft
Aye I reckon that's what I'll do. But in the morning lol. If my luck doesn't change after some more trying I'll button it up with a new axle bolt and see what happens. If the vibration is gone I guess can let it ride till I have to replace the driver side. i changed the driver side upper strut bear...
