Re: It's not always the ABS module
@ Matty Moo: You say you can't just replace broken wires on the 96 up cars. What is the solution then? Abs sensor wiring can be repaired. I repaired a section on my driver's side front abs sensor this winter. The trick is to crimp the section with crimp connectors and not to solder....just like o2 ...

Re: What brand head gasket
Mahle is oe for most of EU cars.
Victor Reinz also.
So...there is a big chance that both of them are used under Volvo oe branded headgasket.
Don't know about Corteco and wouldn't use Elwis for a headgasket.
Goetze is also used as oe for EU cars.

Starter ok and it's wiring? Relays on fan shroud should also all be connected. ETM damaged? Airbags ...

Re: 1998 V-70 T-5 Cranks but no-start after running OK
If there is no pressure in fuel rail after the fuel pump is primed...then fuel pressure regulator is at fault returning all the fuel back into the tank....or leaking into it's vacuum line.
Is your FPR at fuel rail or somewhere else?

Re: 1998 V-70 T-5 Cranks but no-start after running OK
According to the picture you provided via link...it's on fuel rail.
Two pipes going by the timing belt cover...one for fuel feed...one for return from fpr.

Re: 2000 V70 XC, post collision repair : no start
You will need the wiring diagram for starter circuit. Trace the signal wire from ignition switch or fuse box,put it out of use and run a new one. You don't want a damaged wire from ignition switch or fuse box to dangle around and to cause a short circuit. Apparently...line from ignition switch to fu...

Re: 2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.
Cars with FPR on fuel rail will always have stronger squirt of fuel at schrader valve because it is bigger and have larger capacity chamber. Cars with fuel pressure damper at fuel rail and FPR somewhere else(fuel filter or steering rack area) will have weaker squirt on schrader valve. FPR on fuel ra...

Re: Limit to how many times tensioner can be recompressed
If there are no signs of leaking when you remove it from the car,if it's hard to compress it and if it doesn't leak while compressing or after it's been compressed...reuse it. You don't need to wait for hours to compress it...just take your time and do it slowly...around 30 min. I'm on 4th timing be...
