Rebuilt Calipers - Pins, What's the issue? 30648017
1998 S70 T-5 240k miles Just bought some rebuilt front calipers for this car. It has the originals. I read somewhere about the caliper slider pins on the rebuilts not being as quality as the original Volvo pins (Volvo #30648017). I see one of these pins, Volvo OEM, costs around $25.00. That's pretty...

Re: ECC Unit Removed (After Dash Removal), 1996 850 Turbo
SUCCESS!!!!!! Last night I tried again to remove the ECC Unit by pushing / pulling it toward the rear of the car , this time more forcefully, and heard what sounded like plastic cracking, at which point I stopped. The unit did not appear to have moved from it's position, so I decided to remove the d...

Re: Where to hook up smoke machine?
BlackBart, it's a Autoline Pro. I didn't buy the accessories, so far I've been able to use it without them. But, I think I would like to get the gas cap adapter so I can check for leaks there. https://www.autolinepro.com/ I've never used a smoke machine before, was too afraid to spray chemicals or u...

Re: Where to hook up smoke machine?

Re: Rear Intake Camshaft Seal 9443310 Replacement, Is there a write up?
To everyone who commented, thank you. With that information I was able to remove the plate (rotor mount as I call it now) by removing the bolts from the rotor, inserting them into the rotor mount and pulling. It popped right out. I guess I could've simply pulled on the rotor when it was attached, an...

Re: Rear Intake Camshaft Seal 9443310 Replacement, Is there a write up?
I removed the Oetiker clamp but left the hose in place, it's like petrified rubber, if there's such a thing. There is no way that hose will come off clamp or no clamp. I was able to replace the exhaust seal by moving things aside, put everything back together, started it up and took a 1/2 hour test ...

Re: EVAP hose?
Thank you, I appreciate the offer, but please don't bother. I can build a hose with an adapter that will outlast the car and I'll have it back on the road soon.

Re: EVAP hose?
I managed to build a hose that replaces the stock hose. The stock hose, which is discontinued now, is unique in that it has a large end and a smaller end. I measured the inside diameter of the original hose and it appears to be 18mm x 11mm. So, to accomplished this repair, if you cannot locate a dec...
