To follow up on this: Volvo USA was able to get me the code. Although the tool on the website did not work and gave an error, probably due to the VIN being from a Euro car, after I contacted customer care with the above images they got back to me with the code in under 6 hours on a Sunday. Thanks for the help. I went ahead and resoldered the wires and shrunk them. Everything works again. Even the rear wiper that I had suspected as faulty. It is actually doable to solder the wires w/o disconnecting the d-pillar connector, but removing the d pillar trimnand freeing the wires helps alot....

Well after having done this in the light of day and in the car, the color I identified earlier are not correct. I'll have to spend some more time with the color sample sheet to ensure a good close match. I'll update this once I have a good match with the SEM colors and codes.
