It’s scary that people buy brake pads to keep their wheels pretty vs braking action
Don’t put “ racing pads” on a street car.
99% of us drive in conditions where we need our brakes suddenly and Unexpectedly, like when the guy in front of me on the Mass pike locked up without any brake lights

Re: Brake pad squeal--- request for reviews on ATE front pads
I live in Minnesota and I've used Akebono exclusively for almost 20 years. It gets cold here. My first set were part of an upgrade including stainless lines on a VW golf. That car had Konis and a wide set of Potenzas on it and I pushed it hard. I thought it was some kind of alien magic that I could ...

Re: Brake pad squeal--- request for reviews on ATE front pads

Use a Silicone Grease on the bushing that the slide pins are inserted into (I prefer Silaramic by CRC) 3. Replace the bushings if...

The coolant temperature sensors (ECT) on these cars are known “ fussy” items on these cars How about. The last time the ignition system was serviced...

Re: 855 rear bumper question
Had to take care of this a couple months ago on the wife's '97 GLT. The DS bracket was basically non-existent, due to corrosion. https://turbochuckcom.ipage.com/webimages/projects/97%20Volvo%20855/Body/droopybutt.jpg https://turbochuckcom.ipage.com/webimages/projects/97%20Volvo%20855/Body/rustybrkt_...

Re: '97 855 GLT Can you help me find the for source of oil leak near exhaust manifold on passenger side?
I had a leak similar to what you described, turned out the rear main seal needed to be replaced.

I can't tell from the pic, can you rule out the "oil squirter cover" to the aft?
