Re: The V60 wagon is a P3 chassis?
Learned a few things reading. I'd rather be after the 2014 facelift, and before the 2019 redesign for budget. If you stay newer than the reports of sludged-up rings, then you get into the 4-cylinder-only years. Very disappointed to find the 5-cyl white block was discontinued for the 2017 model year....

Re: "P3 Fever"- Input requested
, the P3 bug has bitten me. You should have that looked at. Kidding. But I think Neil from Calgary (Scott850) has received some mechanic's opinions on P3’s. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=27415 I did some reading some time ago that led me to believe t...

Re: "P3 Fever"- Input requested
............................................................ 3) The 2014 3.2l was a non-turbo AWD. In the P2 days, no AWD was non-turbo. The 3.2l drinks >25% more fue l than my white engines. The accessories of the 3.2l are all packed together on the left side (I forget the 4-letter term Volvo uses...

Re: "P3 Fever"- Input requested
Do some research on the 4 cylinder motor reliability. All is not good in that world as I have heard from my Volvo 'friends'. Even the 5 cylinder is different to the earlier P2 engines and is not as good.

P2 XC70 rear suspension
Whilst changing the snow tires I studied the rear suspension a bit. Apologies to all the East Coast and Toronto and Michigan cars - I see shiny springs with the red paint code still there. I've never had to do anything to the rear other than these shocks, so I haven't spent any time looking at it. P...

Re: P2 XC70 rear suspension
looks like it provides stand off clearance for better articulation.
they could have made it simpler but thats why the handling is so good.
i did a bit of work back there, you need good pry bars, jackstands, and 2 red bull energy drinks, it was hard work.

Re: "P3 Fever"- Input requested
I have experience and know well P3's, and have owned three XC70 P3 - as well as a P2 (xc90) with the 3.2L engine. In my opinion - you should take seriously the Piston-Ring issue and make sure to not buy a model with this issue. I would also seriously consider the models with 3.0 Turbo engine. This e...

Re: 2005 V70 NA M56 rear brake light bulb 989757, rear speaker removal problem
Got it done. The speaker was stuck in good but eventually snapped out of the frame without breaking anything. Then a replacement 1157 bulb, don’t forget to do the other side, too The needed technique was thumb pressure on the curved top tab then a screwdriver to pry the speaker out at the top, break...
