Re: Random photos of Volvos Megathread
A blast from the past...... Guess who, working on his 245T, in maybe....the early to mid-90's? I spy a radiator against the power pole, some white boxes, some cardboard. Water pump? Timing belt? Stop the presses. This was factory. Nick! Did you know this? I know 70s cars are a little later than your wheelhouse, but this is amazing. This is, without a doubt, one of the most American things ever. 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. 1 of 7 produced with retractable T-Tops   ...

Re: Random photos of Volvos Megathread
That pic must have been from our friends and former neighbors porch - "Oh look, the neighbor kid is out working on that Volvo again." He was an old Volvo guy, with a 142E, a round headlight 240 sedan, an '80 240 wagon, a 960 wagon... He helped me with advice, and introduced me to Oddvar th...

Re: The EV Revolution, Stage One
That's really well done, Matt! I learned a lot, especially that the current grid can handle a home charging load. I thought that was a major issue. Is that still true as adoption expands to EVs becoming normal? You might change 3035 - that's 1000 years of hotrods!! WOOT!! 0b8a52bd-c405-4ced-ab3f-063...

P80 AWD Pure Unobtanium!
If you are in a junkyard and there are P80 AWD cars there, please try to remove these from the rear parking brake cables by the rear dust shield. They can be removed with some penetrating oil and a large screwdriver behind the outer lip on the rear as (not) seen in the pictures as you are looking at...

Re: The EV Revolution, Stage One
Self driving doesn’t have to be 100% safe effective, it needs to be safer than driven cars. It already is, as we drive so crappy already…too fast, distracted, drunk. On the autonomous parking, if you get to work by 8, do you care if your car doesn’t park until 10? Not really. It isn’t going to conge...
