Re: 2004 S60T AWD Rear exhaust bracket rusted
I replaced all the exhaust minus the headers 4+ years ago. Everything looks great after 64k miles due to living in the southeast now. Don't miss those salty Massachusetts roads! I painted the exhaust with VHT ceramic based exhaust paint. Rear Muffler: Bosal 235143 (aluminized) Center muffler: Bosal ...

https://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/d/b ... 35909.html
Already posted it in the right spot, but it is nice to look at.
Presence of the window sticker might mean original owner, but not claimed. $7k ask, 265k showing.

Re: SC-901 radio, why is it so great, scot850?
Why is it so good? To be 100% honest, I just like the mechanical way the CD changer works. Sound wise, the SC-900/901 units have no in-built amplifiers, so you need the external amp for them to produce sound. You can plug them in to the standard wiring, they will switch on, but you won't get any sou...

Re: Headliner and door card fabric
We ended up doing something a little simpler than finding something to order. I happened to see a slate blue, foam backed headliner cloth at Michael's or JoAnn's, that seemed to match closely enough. We got some of that. The tricky bit is getting the headliner tray out of the car. We removed the two...

Turbo Intercooler pipe blew off
I understand this is a somewhat common problem as our P2's age, as the picture illustrates the metal sleeve falls out of the intercooler pipe down into the rubber coupling. As the plastic pipe gets heat cycles the hose clamp deforms the pipe while the vigilant owner continues to tighten the hose cla...

Re: Oil Anti Drain Valve for the P3 -- 3.0T and 3.2
I think I may have a solution... It appears that Ford uses the same style of anti-drain back setup on the oil filter housing of their diesel F-150s and have had a rash of the same type of issue with the valve failing. Ford issued a TSB (22-2386) for the issue and have a part available, ML3Z-6A606-A....

Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread
I bribed them with fancy pastries. My weekend. (pics are sideways on a monitor?) IMG_3868.JPG Thank gawd for Volvo wagons... This thing is heavy ! Out of the warehouse into the car, out of the car into the garage - build it - lift the engine - disassemble - back in the car, out of the car and into t...

Gently heat the plastic pipe with a hot air gun and press the metal insert back into place
