Re: I spotted a Volvo! thread
I had to go to the supermarket for some lunch today and there was a red Volvo 740 with swedish license plates and old style S sticker on it (cars had to have these before EU license plates), looked real neat. I parked my blue 850 behind it, I was curious to see what kind of owner had a car like this...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Hello all, I'm finally posting an update and providing closure on this issue. Upon further inspection, there was an access panel already cut in the floor for the fuel pump. The pump (which apparently been updated to a 340 LPH AEM unit) had slipped out of its tube, such that it was not pumping to the...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
13.8-14.2v is at idle when engine is running.
12.6-12.7v is 100% charged battery,on rest,at least 2 hours after engine is turned off.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
One can always tune the parameter to make it as worse as needed. I have crafted a small application that will, provided you have a binary dump of an AW55(5 speed), will try and extract the memory address of the adaptation. Then one should note the original value of the adaptation for garage shifts(a...

Re: Will P80 coilovers fit a P2?
I do know apparently a lot of P80 suspension components carried over to the early P2s. I have a 2001 V70 with a very low production VIN number (101xxx) and many of the strut components are actually P80 components, not P2. Not to say that a full assembly is plug n play, I can't confirm that. One of t...

Re: Let's see your Volvo (The Photo Thread)
Oh, so I'm wrong about housing displacement - I didn't know there were still apartments in there. It appears there's a LOT of new housing, but certainly not at the prices of those frumpy old buildings. Earthquake reinforcing, EEP! People told us the earthquake and the WTO riot really hurt Pioneer Sq...

Re: How to disable Neutral Control on 2005 S80
Thank you for your input! I found a local repair shop that specializes in Volvos. 15min and 60 EUR later I have a normal car! My lesson from this is that you probably can't do it yourself. It's better to find a specialist who knows what he is doing. Everyone who is interested in removing the same fu...
