CV Axles - accurate fitting CV axle boot
I found the best place to get the most accurate fitting cv axle boot (that I could find) is Advance Auto (owns WorldPac distributor). You can order from your car's VIN. The boot I repaired with GKN/Lobro fit perfectly on the axle shaft (small end of the boot), I did have to stretch it more than I li...

Re: 1 week Maintenance/Upgrade Plan (Stage 0 to 2)

Not quite in the order I had planned, but I saved some time by doing stuff while I had stuff out. Thanks to all who answered my questions and have posted info her...

Re: Sale/Trade or Gift - '98 S70 GLT - 154K miles
If someone finds the right person in NY NJ in need I will donate time to get this one put right on the road. I do have a nice young guy up here in NY in mind. Pulled his act together after bad high school, did auto tech, and just finishing welding school. Needs wheels until he can afford deposit to ...

Re: HID bulb questions - 2004 XC90
SORRY, LONG POST. With the continuing saga of HID Headlights 101, I learned a lot. Don’t know if I can upload all the pics. May have to put two posts together to make it work. So, first the good part: I bought the FCPEURO HID Volvo headlights per member’s recommendations and they came uber quick. No...

Re: 2004 XC90 rear tire smoking
Turns out I ordered and installed the wrong side caliper (bleed nipple facing down), I got the correct caliper and bled the brakes and she is back in action. Thanks again.

Re: Headlights, yet again...WITH PICTURES 98 V70 99 S70
I have just been able to upgrade my headlights in a 1999 S70-GLT. I was at the PnP when I saw two aftermarket, almost new looking headlamp assemblies in a 1998 V70. The brightness of the chrome reflectors, visible through the lenses was jaw dropping. I grabbed them ($31.00 each) and installed them A...

Re: HID bulb questions - 2004 XC90
Ps. Yesterday was the first time I was out at dark to use them. 1. They were just awesome. 2. FINALLY, high beams that work 3. No light flashes from oncoming traffic which had me the most worried. Even carried a mini socket wrench in the console to adjust on the side of the road. LOL!

Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread
I spotted a VW bus today that appeared to be in good condition. I know there are VW fans on here so I snapped a picture! June
