Re: Buying a used volvo (V70)
I dropped 10k for my 2005 with 80k on the clock, but that was 5 years ago, and it was Stage 0 from driveway. Expensive? Maybe, but I would do it again in 10 nanoseconds.
Manual transmission of course.

Re: B+ terminal repair - main fuse box
Good to know, I think that's what I'll do then. I feel like it'll be a little easier to send it through the factory routing, I don't want to have it look messy. I just did this on my s70. I used 4 AWG and I ran it mostly through the stock wiring harness. However, once I got up near the fuse box, I ...

Re: B+ terminal repair - main fuse box
Knocked this out today. I used the NAPA lugs mentioned in the OP and 4x 10 AWG wire. It was pretty easy to run through the stock routing, fortunately. It seems to have taken care of the two codes I had related to the CEL and ETS light. All I need to figure out now is the whining ETM... but that's fo...

Check out this blast from the past I just found
Picked up a bunch of parts from a really great Volvo tech on Friday. In the lot of parts was an Alpine 6 disc cd changer. Reminds me of my dad's old 3-series and my mom's old discovery. Figure I'll install it in the trunk to keep it period correct. Now to only find six CDs to play.

Hello fellow Volvo enthusiasts! If you drive an 850, odds are at some point your glove box latch is going to fail. Re: EZ oil drain valve anyone?
Replacing the drain plug in itself doesn't really make a difference on the work load when you still have to get it up on ramps and take the big plastic cover off.
It would however save me having to stick my hand in the tray full of hot oil to retrieve the plug that I almost always manage to drop
