Re: How reliable are 850's?

Well, a 850, without any doubt to me : comfort, secure, cool, strong, reliable, easy to fix, and a really premium girl-trap ! Yes, i recognize, it's not the most objective point of view you've ever read, but... Seriously, car depends on the owner. For me, few electronic,no turbo, a very strong engin...

Re: Wheel alignment; castor adjustment 2006 xc70

Sorry I meant caster and not chamber. The car does wanders a bit and requires quite a bit of steering input to keep straight. The front wheels don’t have play but are still on the original ball joints and tie-rods. Was hoping if getting the castor within spec would help with keeping the car straigh...

Re: 2021 Volvo

I would (and did) consider a very basic V60. I'd want Denim Blue on the cloth interior, with the cold weather package and H/K stereo. But the lack of a manual transmission is something of a deal killer at new car prices, and ultimately it doesn't seem $42K better than my V70. The modern conveniences...

Re: A couple things members might know, that I don't.

I found one on Amazon, but two of the four reviews were negative stating that the hose lasted less than a year. Sounds like a ÜRO part. Avoid ÜRO like the plague. Also, some recommended hose clamps would be much appreciated. This is an ultra low pressure system (under 1/2 an atmosphere), but I want...

Re: Random no-start/no-crank

I would open the glove box and watch the light in there as I'm turning the start key. If the light dims way down in response to turning the key to start, you need a new battery. If the light stays bright while you turn the key to start (and no starter motor action), you need a new ignition switch.

Re: Vibration at idle and acceleration after hitting a deer

Can you make a video of your engine when it is shaking? Place a jug of beer on top of it, so we could see the waves.

Re: 2010 XC60 T6 - Eternal P0420

FIXED !! (let's hope I didn't jynx it...) Ok, here's the deal. It's been over 5k miles since I installed the spacer and replaced the PCV Trap. (See my last post) I did both of these things together even though neither were "needed" as the last attempt to fix this problem, hoping (and not c...

Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread

Sorry I haven't been on here to update in awhile. My fiance ended up coming home on the 16th. Her kidney function went back to normal, thankfully, but they're still keeping an eye on everything. She now has a home health nurse that comes out twice a week to check on how she's doing, plus a physical ...

RobertDIY - A Radiator removal and replacement WARNING

If you are anticipating working on your P80 and watching YouTube videos, here's a word of advice (one might even say a warning): Stick to videos by Robert Spinner (RobertDIY) and stay away from those posted by FCP Euro. The FCP Euro people are great guys, and I buy just about ALL my parts from them ...
