Looks like the FP relay was the culprit.

You will have to remove the hub nut again unfortunately. I undo the outer steering tie rod at the wheel end, then undo and remove the 2 lower control arm inner bolts as well as one end of the anti sway-bar end link. You should be able to swing the strut out far enough to get the end of the axle out ...
