The XC90s don’t have the same setup and when the torque mount is this worn out, it can make some very concerning noises. The P3 chassis cars don’t have the same noise when their mount(s) are worn and that right mount collapses a lot on those, but not the P2 based XC90.

Awesome write up, Pgill! I just want to wrap my query up and point out that KLR142 was right - the engine mount beneath the torque rod was collapsed and the engine was clanging away on the metal.
