Re: '01 V70 T5 transmission fix,
Still looking at a very nice '01 T5. At a dealership and history unknown. I can see from the sticker that the timing belt was replaced at 45K miles (and 11 years). This also indicates dealer service. Is there any way to detect if the Transmisson "fixes" have been applied? Mileage is still...

Re: Completely round spark plug. Why? How can I get it out?
I don't think you have as bad of a problem as a rounded off spark plug. I used Photoshop to lighten your photo and it looks like the rubber spark plug boot broke off and is still in the spark plug hole. If you dig this out you should be able to get your socket on the plug.

Re: Lots of Signal too low codes after head swap
I just installed a remanufactured head from Odessa Cylinder Heads in Clearwater, FL. I got this head since I had a burnt valve, the car has 240k on it so I thought it was best to go with a complete reman head. The only code I had was the misfire on #3 before replacing the head. But after installing...

Re: 2004 XC70 Instrument Cluster Issues
Oh, the hot side to ground then? Yes, one lead to ground, the other lead to the fuse contact. I checked my car and power is on the left fuse contact, I used a bolt on the door jam as ground. I also noticed on my car (2001 V70) the CEM fuses didn't match exactly with 2002 wiring diagram I have. Fuse...

Re: Alarm Triggering - How To Find Source of Alarm?
Aside from letting VIDA run in monitor mode for a week on each door sensor, is there anywhere in VIDA that one can see what triggered the car alarm the last time it triggered? I had replaced the batteries in the alarm module, and unplugged the siren horn when reassembling, but I will get the occasi...

Re: ETM throttle plate difficult to move
What was the verdict on your problem with the throttle plat being sticky?. Having same problem with mine. Based on the year of your car, 2001, you have the Magneti Marelli ETM and years ago I saved some photos of a problem not associated with the well-known position sensor problems. This problem wa...

Re: 2004 s60 R lights won’t shut off.
If your car matches the wiring diagram I have (2002 Volvo V70) these lights are controlled by the CEM, relay CMI5. You could swap this relay with an equivalent one on the CEM and see if it might be a bad relay. What about the front parking lights? It looks like this relay also supplies power to the ...

Re: 07 S60R timing or wiring issue?
My 07 S60R threw up 7 codes all at once, turbo wastegate solenoid low, exhaust valve and intake valve code, then 3 evap codes, this was 30 minutes after I replaced the turbo inlet, the car is hard starting, not going over 5 psi boost which should be 15, poor acceleration, 9.5 mpg, any ideas? The ti...
