Re: 96' 850 problem torque converter/lock-up clutch

Regarding the transmission, if the fluid change doesn't help and it shifts weird/hard, you can also try to replace the TCU with a another used one. Mine had failed and it was still working, but acting strange for a long time, before it finally caused a code.

Permatex 518 , endorsed by Rspi and Abscate , the marvel Volvo duo of GOAT and Plonker

And the 6 ml tube will do one valve cover. You don’t need a lot, a tiny bead rolled out , but the 50 ml is only $12-15

Re: 1997 850R wagon for sale [Denver]

With his knowledge and experience I'd gladly pay Robert for his insight to your car's issues. Heck, my buddy is glad paying $210 CDN (about $150 US) for an hour of a Volvo dealer's mechanic time so they can confirm what we have told Volvo about his son's car's problem and they have now done that an...

Re: Question on Blower/Resistor

You are correct - I removed the mounting cover. The motor housing has a decent amount of dust as a result of brush wear.

Part is on order...
