Re: XC90 V8 Intermittent fuel pressure cutout
Denso also fail but it seems I have more Bosch ones being cloned of late probably more due to the popularity of the turbo five cylinder. One thing a car can't do well is diagnose it's own ECM when intermittently faulty. If you're lucky you'll get a failed communication code on Vida ECM-003 I think i...

Re: XC70 Immobilizer, won't start, not antenna/CEM/ECM
Vida is software. Dice is the box.
When you plug in Dice to a Windows laptop does it ask for a driver?

Re: Ignition Coil Lifespan
When the exterior casing cracks they misfire. If you peel back the rubber boot you can thoroughly inspect the casing and check for this, otherwise they last a long, long time. You can do this at every spark plug change as routine maintenance. I have purchased aftermarket boots from AC Delco for $15 ...

Re: Cleaned ETM, it's better.. but still not right
I have used these on all our Volvo turbos: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000KKF4BK/ref=twister_B01EB23M2A?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 They're cheap, last well for the cost and easy to get hold of. Try to use Matthews link to Amazon for purchases as it keeps the site running and pays for the late night cof...

Re: Volvo S60 P0121 code - ETM, Sacer TPS?
Just set up voltage on sensor 2 (Sacer side) at anywhere between 1.3 and 1.5 volts between pins 1 and 3 of Sacer sensor with ignition on.

Re: Etm/new TPS, not working what to check for?
If you adjust magnet and voltages with plate in idle resting position with ignition on (or 12V applied from a power source) you will be fine. Aim for 1.43 V as this is the exact centre of operation range. ie. ETM will not start at below 1.24V and will not start at above 1.58V so 1.41-1.43 (being the...

Re: AW55-50SN woes-easy to repair?
Now 11,000 kms later and no change in shift operation. Too bad the 2G car phone no longer works; Vodafone officially ceased 2G support 8 days ago.

Re: Question to early P2 T5 owners
I don't have one on my 2001 V70 T5 because I removed it. Engine bay DOES get grimier than I'd like though. The point about salted roads by Oragex holds a lot of weight in certain climates.

Re: '98 V70 T5 Knocking sounds
I had rod knock on my original 2001 T5 engine and I ran it until the rod smashed out through the block-no oil pressure lights at all. I hope it isn't a rod or main bearing
