Re: 1999 S70T5 How to tell if air bags have been serviced.
Airbag service procedure was "a thing" because the manufacturers thought that the airbag chemicals would lose their effectiveness to explode with time. They thought at one time that you would need to replace the airbag. The chemicals in early bags were developed to power rockets and needed...

Re: 1992 940 throttle position sensor
That fuel system only needs to know closed throttle and wide open throttle. That is what the two switches do. Something costs what you will pay. Are you sure it is bad? I think I have replaced one many years ago and it was for corroded terminals in the connector.

Re: 2002 V70 X/C sprang a leak
Turbo has cooling lines with rubber connector hoses. You also have the heater lines that run from bell housing down and behind to the firewall to go inside to heater core.

The stops on the lower control arms can make that noise too. when full turn is reached on the outside wheel (one turned into wheel opening at front) there is apart on the lower control arm that acts as the travel limter. It should have plastic over a metal bar. The plastic can break away and the met...

Re: Possible to get build details from VIN?
2015 VIDA has a live vehicle details area that allows the build data of the car with all its features. I know of no other way to get the info. The Volvo dealer service advisor/service greeter (not sure what you call the service guy in OZ) has VIDA that allows this on his workstation.

Re: Possible to get build details from VIN?
Just requires VIN. Type it in vehicle profile field and click "Vehicle Details". There is more than one tab there. Things like variant attributes, options, and a couple of others.

Re: Srs System Safety - Removing The Steering Wheel - 2000 V40
VIDA instructions do not have you wait long. The wait is key off befoe you disconnect neg lead. This allows any network activity to cease. Your car has one teeny bit of network between ECM and TCM. The SRS module is purposefully made to power down quickly as that is a safety for emergency responders...
